Since I'm going to be cosplaying as Sweeney Todd for Comic Con and you cannot have weapons, I pondered what to do for his famous straight razor.

Problem solved! Made of sculpty clay and painted with acrylics. It even flips open on a small metal pin/rivet that I inserted into it.

I added a suggestion of detail into the carvings of the real knife and sanded the blade down to have more of a 'sharp' edge.

The worst I could do with this is poke someone in the eye or thwap them on the head though :yum: It's really light and flexible.

Now to work on my Dib hair.

At last! My arm is complete again!

Looking at it, it looks a bit deceptive in the weight, but the clay was so incredibly light. I'd say it weighs just a few ounces. In fact, if feels close to the weight of my Carmex tube.

thats fantastic! those are great razors! and at NYCC we were allowed to have fake weapons. they never checked us so....idk.

I was showing the knife to my mom's coworkers and we were talking about it. Mom suggested a candle in the shape of a pie, but I liked the suggestion of one of those little toy rolling pins better (plus it's lighter)
